Pete Davidson sentenced to community service after Beverly Hills car crash

Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson has been sentenced to 50 hours of community service after crashing his car into a Beverly Hills home in March.

Davidson, 29, entered an 18-month diversion program in June after being charged with reckless driving.

As part of the program, he must complete the community service, 12 hours of traffic school, and appear at a morgue or hospital for educational purposes. He must also pay restitution to the homeowners.

Davidson’s community service will likely be completed at the New York City Fire Department, where his father, Scott Davidson, was a firefighter who died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The car crash occurred on March 4, when Davidson was driving with his girlfriend, actress Chase Sui Wonders. Davidson lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a fire hydrant and the side of a home. No one was injured in the crash.

Davidson was charged with reckless driving in June. He pleaded not guilty to the charge, but entered the diversion program in order to avoid a conviction.

The diversion program is a way for first-time offenders to avoid a criminal conviction. If Davidson completes the program successfully, the charge against him will be dismissed.

The car crash was a wake-up call for Davidson, who has spoken openly about his struggles with mental health. He has said that the crash made him realize that he needed to make some changes in his life.

“I’m just trying to be the best person I can be,” Davidson said in an interview with People magazine. “I’m trying to be the best version of myself.”
